There is a chill in the air, you think it might be the early stages of fall.
It's dark, but the kind where you aren't sure if it's evening or middle of the night.
Ahead of you is a highway, stretching out as far as you can see, trees on either side.
If you start walking in the only direction you can,
you may come across a DRIVE IN MOVIE THEATER, filled with empty cars,
or possibly an empty ICE CREAM PARLOR.
Or, you might not come across anything at all.
If you're lucky, a burgundy BMW 733i might pull up beside you,
STEVE leaning across to the passenger window, brows up, smiling.
"Need a ride?"
